I kept asking why they were coming in and I still have no clue how they got in!
Beautiful bees symbolize hard work, love, creativity, golden rewards, sweetness of honey, flowers, community...oh we could go on and on.
Colonies are collapsing and dying due to the pesticides farmers and even home gardeners use. They are our wake-up call to stop poisoning our Earth and ourselves.
They inspired this drawing, I did it in homage, drawing in that mysterious place that knows the larger picture. As another sign, the founder of Burt's Bees passed away the day I posted this image on Instagram!
Therefore, I will dedicate all sales of this print of the bee (Click here) and the sketchbook version (click here) to:
In 2007, we established the Burt's Bees Greater Good Foundation, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, organization
dedicated to sustaining charitable, grassroots initiatives that support human and honeybee health.
Since its inception, the foundation has issued $1.2 million in grants. In 2014 alone, the foundation donated $293,000 in proceeds to nonprofit organizations.
THANK YOU!
