This is my homage to Fame + Love.
One cannot have one without the other. On second thought, well maybe you can, my choice is to live fully immersed in both. For me, fame is exactly the same as 'faith' and 'self-confidence.' So there you go.
Influences here are Hitchcock as a paparazzi, the peeping Tom that he was, peeping into our sub-conscious through film. The flower motif in Vertigo is a clue to the Master's playing with symbols as well.
My love for everyday simple expressions of LOVE are here in the most basic everyday flower paper. If you think about it, these are the flowers many people see everyday and in moments of giving or receiving. Their innocence and non-sophistication inspires me.
Images and image-making on various levels of perception is referenced here in the seen and seer, the photography, the drawing, the digital images, and the fields of perception that co-exist here.
It's my talisman to embody Fame + Love in a non-dizzying way. To 'say it with flowers' as in: I hope all my offerings out into the world, from the words tumbling out of mouth to everything I create, are given in the spirit of flowers and light. ( I'm trying! )
