OOO LA LA, FASHION ILLUSTRATION!
I have always loved how a line conveys the emotion of a moment and a universal concept.
Drawing since *birth*...at sixteen I won a nationwide Levi's jean design contest with my fashion illustrations and went on to receive a talent scholarship to get my Bachelors of Art in Fashion Illustration at one of the USA's most honored institutions, Moore College of Art.
Thirty years as a Creative Director concepting and producing in the lifestyle and pop culture realms followed. As a fashion and jewelry designer myself, illustration and advertising for the fashion brands of clients has also always been an integral part of my career. I've happily created for clients ranging from Aveda, to VH1, and my work has been covered in international media ranging from Accessories magazine to WWD and from Elle to Vogue.
I've designed illustrations, entire shop and store concepts for brands from Macy's to Sunglass Hut, and Saks Fifth Avenue; and I have worked closely with a long list of designers and brands creating pieces for their runway collections, including Bill Blass, Mary McFadden, and Oscar de la Renta; all the way to envisioning and curating huge art installations in Milan, NYC and the mountains of Brazil.
From quick street style sketches, to my illustrated selfies, and to my more intense and humorous magical beings portraits, I love to capture a concept through the allure of style...and the beauty of humanity.
