Climate Change Trend Alert! Sunny Day Parasol Umbrellas.
One bright, sunny Spring day, I was in a taxi on Park Avenue in New York City on my way downtown, stuck in traffic, when suddenly my eye caught a flash of pink on the sidewalk.
As a simply dressed woman in perfect tailoring from her navy blue jeans to her sheer top with flower clouds on it clipped by, her head was obscured by a huge flower petal pink PARASOL. On a sunny day.
I'm not a fan of beauty using chemicals, ridiculous fear of the sun etc. yet this elegant solution made me want to see more of this.
...and then in a totally uncanny moment, my wish came true in a millisecond. Another woman strutted fiercely coming the other way in a turquoise bandage dress...plus a pink PARASOL!
You see why I have to draw these people, these moments? Don't you LOVE life's gift of sweet moments like this too?
