A club-kid, Onyx snapped constantly. Bod, fingers, proclamations.
The little fashion designer always sported massive platforms, short shorts, polite handbags, and fishnet everything. I will never forget the sound of his squeals of passion. ( C'mon don't go there! The squeals I heard were over music or the garmento worries of a late delivery to Pat Field. )
This was in the late 80's, East Village. Onyx is timeless.
I reinvented him to celebrate Fridays and also because one close friend says I am always snapping my fingers ( house music is always on) and now at least she will know the inspiration.
