Rebel Heiress. International Pop Star. Tech Entrepreneur. Jewelry Designer. Philanthropist.
All that and a Big Heart. Consuelo Vanderbilt Costin is building her own kind of legend upon her illustrious Vanderbilt family name, (including the likes of Cornelius, Gloria, Anderson Cooper and a bevy of society beauties who were the Kardashians of their day circa 1800's and beyond. Consuelo, seen here in Vogue, illustrates her homage to her roots as does her jewelry collection sold on HSN, with designs honoring the five generations of Vanderbilt women.
Make sure you see Consuelo's video...this one, Here We Go! was styled by yours truly. Silver leather for a rebel heiress!
For her illustration, I asked myself, what becomes a legend most? Often it can be a new interpretation of a classic moment.
A generous, loyal friend is what really becomes a legend most. I am honored to call Consuelo a dear friend.
Given she is a gorgeous blond bombshell, I illustrated her as a another legend, a kind of new Marilyn Monroe, her skirts blown up like wings from the subway trains...which only exist because of her grandad+++ railroad tycoon Cornelius, built America's railroads seven generations ago.
